Frijoles and Friends started as a backyard project to entertain and encourage young children during the days of complete lock-down early in the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. Based in New York, the first epicenter of the pandemic in the United States, Frijoles, an orange cat, and his best friend Roberto (in tasteful purple) navigate the new world of isolation and uncertainty brought by the pandemic.
As the project has evolved, it is gradually taking on a broader perspective as the two friends adapt and adjust.
